Partner of the Month

Our partner agencies provide us with a venue in which to meet parents of infants ages prenatal to two years old.

Every few months we highlight one partner agency and tell a little about them, their mission and how we interact with parents at their site.

Maternal & Family Health Services are an innovative

health and human service organization dedicated to meeting the needs of the community through information, education and quality care.

As a private non-profit health and human services organization, MFHS works to meet the health and nutrition needs of Northeastern Pennsylvania’s women, children, and families with information, education, and quality care.

Founded in 1971, MFHS meets the ever-changing needs of women, children, and families by providing essential and innovative programming that improves the quality of life for women, children, and families. Today, we oversee and support a network of health and nutrition centers in 17 Pennsylvania counties, serving over 90,000 women, men, and children annually through their core programs:

  • WIC Nutrition

  • Reproductive Health

  • Nurse-Family Partnership

  • Pregnancy Care

Our Mother Goose volunteers give age appropriate board books to babies as they or their family members at the Pottstown location.

About Us

Mother Goose: Read to Me is a charitable non profit with the goal of promoting literacy by providing free books and explaining to parents the importance of reading to children

Why Read to Babies?

Research shows that children whose parents read to them from infancy get a head start on skills they need to learn to read.

For Professionals

If you represent a social agency or are a healthcare provider, Mother Goose: Read to Me volunteers can provide free books to your clients. Our volunteers can also demonstrate reading and storytelling techniques.
